A group of 74 students from the 3rd grade of infant the Miguel Delibes school, visited the Milanera Campus of the Escuela Politécnica Superior to learn about the work being done by the Building Engineering Research Group (GIIE) of the University of Burgos, within the European LIFE-REPOLYUSE project “REcovery of POLYurethane for reuse in eco-efficient materials”.
They participated in two workshops, one about “Design of new gypsum materials with polyurethane waste”, where they learned about the importance of recycling and the need to reuse industrial waste, giving added value to construction materials that use this waste. And another on “Articulated Structures” where they were introduced to the design of this type of construction.
After the workshops, a small certificate ceremony took place.
